Editor – A man was rescued on the afternoon of February 6 after attempting to jump from the pedestrian bridge on the Chapala-Jocotepec highway in the town of San Juan Tecomatlán. Chapala Civil Protection and Firefighters were on the scene. 

The man is a resident of the town of San Juan Tecomatlán, municipality of Poncitlán. After a psychological intervention, Civil Protection personnel persuaded the man to be rescued. Following the rescue, he was left in the care of his mother.
