Patrick O’Heffernan, Ajijic. The Lake Chapala Society in Ajijic passed its pre-opening inspection this week with flying colors and has received permission from the municipality to open when it is ready. The LCS Board has developed a detailed reopening plan from the work of several committees that have been meeting weekly since March to look at reopening options and scenarios.
“The inspector was very pleased and even asked us for our handbook of policies and procedures,” said Executive Director Steve Belfour, adding that final plans must be approved by the Board and presented and discussed at the Annual General Meeting on August 20. The inspection and permission were the first step.
