Redacción.- Al menos tres personas sin vida y diversos bloqueos carreteros fue el saldo que dejó el enfrentamiento armado acontecido el domingo primero de mayo en el municipio de Mazamitla, informó la Fiscalía del Estado de Jalisco (FEJ), quien inició con una carpeta de investigación para esclarecer los hechos. 

“Los cuerpos de las tres víctimas presentaban impacto de arma de fuego en cráneo, dos de los masculinos tenían aros aprehensores; los cuerpos de los tres hombres quedaron bajo resguardo de Ciencias Forenses con la finalidad de que se les realicen los dictámenes de ley”, detalló en un comunicado la FE.

Al lugar arribó personal ministerial, así como peritos del Instituto Jalisciense de Ciencias Forenses para el levantamiento de indicios, asegurado en el punto cuatro casquillos del calibre .223 milímetros, un casquillo del calibre 7.62 milímetros, así como diversos indicios.

De acuerdo con las primeras investigaciones los hechos ocurrieron alrededor de las 13:50 horas al exterior de un negocio denominado Night Club Loma Encantada, ubicada en Carretera Quitupan la Cofradía kilómetro 24+200, en la localidad La Estacada en el municipio de Mazamitla, en donde se presentó un enfrentamiento entre civiles presuntamente integrantes de un grupo delictivo y se presume fueron privados de la libertad tres masculinos, los cuales fueron abandonados sin vida posteriormente aproximadamente a 10 minutos del bar.

Como consecuencia de los hechos ocurridos, se implementó un operativo para dar con los responsables en el que participaron elementos de la Fiscalía Estatal, la Secretaría de Seguridad Jalisco, la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional, la Guardia Nacional así como elementos de las policías municipales de la región, quienes al estar realizando labores de vigilancia, localizaron en la glorieta del Camino a Monte Verde los cuerpos de tres masculinos, por lo que se le dio parte a esta representación social.

Fue también que por varios reportes al número de emergencia que al arribar al municipio elementos de la Policía Municipal, así como de la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional, localizaron un vehículo el cual presentaba múltiples impactos de arma de fuego, así como daños por proyectil de arma de fuego en la fachada del negocio mencionado, por lo que solicitaron mando y conducción al agente del Ministerio Público.

En el lugar se aseguraron además dos automotores con impactos de proyectil de arma de fuego, una puerta de una camioneta la cual contaba con blindaje, además se aseguraron más de mil casquillos de arma de fuego, tanto en el exterior como en el interior del negocio.

Posterior a este evento se cuenta con diversos reportes de al menos cuatro bloqueos carreteros intencionales en tres puntos diferentes que conectan el municipio de Mazamitla con otras localidades del estado de Jalisco.

Los dos primeros bloqueos se presentaron en la carretera que va de Mazamitla a Tuxcueca, donde en un primer punto se obstruyó la vialidad con un camión de carga pesada el cual transportaba grava, y metros adelante se localizó una camioneta tipo pick up a la cual se le prendió fuego.

El tercero de los bloqueos se llevó a cabo en la localidad de Contla en el municipio de Tamazula de Gordiano en donde un camión de carga fue incendiado y cubrió totalmente la circulación de la carretera Jiquilpan – Manzanillo.

El último punto de bloqueo fue en el municipio de Concepción de Buenos Aires, en la carretera que conecta Mazamitla con Teocuitatlán de Corona, en donde fue incendiado un camión de pasajeros.

Cabe hacer mención que durante el transcurso de los hechos se presentaron diversos reportes de detonaciones de arma de fuego en diversos puntos del municipio de Mazamitla, los cuales fueron atendidos por las corporaciones de los tres niveles de gobierno, quedando en su mayoría sin novedad salvo los ya referidos con anterioridad.

Las investigaciones por estos hechos continuarán con la finalidad de dar con los responsables de los mismos, por lo que conforme avancen las investigaciones se estará informando a la sociedad a través de los canales oficiales.

Jazmín Stengel(Chapala).-  Despite demonstrations and blockades by a group of boardwalk merchants in the main access to the municipality of Chapala, the City Council removed the existing tarps covering outdoor merchants and imposed the use of umbrellas in the restaurant zone. The events took place during the first day of Holy Week, on April 14. Two protest leaders were arrested.

The double demonstration closed the access to the municipality by the Guadalajara – Chapala highway for more than an hour. The main intersection at Francisco I. Madero and Hidalgo avenues was obstructed for almost two-and-one-half hours. While the point at the entrance to the Ajijic beltway was only blocked for a few minutes.

The more than 50 protesters were invited to form a committee of five representatives to talk with authorities. Saying, “We are willing to work, but not in your way,” they asked for a personal meeting with Chapala Municipal President, Alejandro de Jesús Aguirre Curiel, who never showed up. 

During the meeting of the protesters with municipal authorities, state and municipal authorities detained two of the merchants for “inciting the demonstrators” and “obstructing the freedom of transit,” according to Commissioner Sergio Conzuelo Ramírez.

The merchants’ main complaint is the requirement to buy umbrellas at a high cost. The Municipal Council intended the umbrellas to improve the boardwalk’s image. 

A press release issued by Social Communication on April 14 read, “We hereby notify you that in order to provide better service and a better image to tourists and visitors to Chapala, especially to the boardwalk area, as of April 13 of this year, the use of tarpaulins, banners or awnings in the areas of food and beverage sales is prohibited.”

The only objects authorized by the Municipality to shade the area are “metal umbrellas painted in brown, with a cement casting base and a high-density green canvas with the logo of the Municipality of Chapala printed on it, which have a value of 4,000 pesos.” 

Social Communication claimed, however, that “the total cost is 5,600 pesos per umbrella, of which 2,800, or 50 percent, must be paid by each tenant and the other 50 percent by the Municipality.”

Semanario Laguna compared the cost in another local store and the costs vary from 1,500 to 1,800 pesos per unit, with a canvas and a diameter of two meters. Meanwhile, larger umbrellas of three meters in diameter cost up to two thousand pesos in canvas, although of lower quality and lacking the  basic joints to position the umbrella.

The umbrella requirements were imposed on the merchants without the option of looking for another supplier, said the merchants after two months of dialogue with the authorities. The merchants also proposed to install a dome financed by the interested vendors, but never received authorization.

Redacción.-Un habitante en San Antonio Tlayacapan sufrió un accidente luego de volcar su embarcación, perdiendo la vida por sumersión en el Lago de Chapala.

El ahora occsiso es una persona de una familia conocida en San Antonio Tlayacapan: el ahora occiso, fue localizado sin vida 15 minutos después de la volcadura del kayak, a las 2:15 pm de acuerdo al reporte de las autoridades.

Héctor Ruiz Mejía (Jocotepec).- Jocotepec’s boardwalk merchants reported low sales despite the Easter holiday period. Merchants in the 20 stores located on the boardwalk said that after two pandemic years, this holiday period has not generated the income they expected, as sales are down by almost 50 percent in contrast to previous years.

In spite of the fact that the projected economic revenue for this vacation season for Holy Week and Easter was $5,400,000 pesos, according toJocotepec Directorate of Tourism and Artisan Promotion Victor Manuel Loza Ornelas,  that goal has not been reached.

«The truth is that it has been very lonely compared to pre-pandemic Holy Weeks, even in previous years we were five people working here in the store, but this week there was only me,» said a vendor of nieve de garrafa, a Mexican sorbet.

She also said that one of the factors that could have affected tourism over the weekend was the protest that took place on Thursday, April 14 in Chapala, between vendors against the City Hall, since many tourists were unable to get through the blockade.

Another of those interviewed thought  that the poor sales could have been due to the  insecurity that has been experienced in recent months in the municipality.

«Fortunately this year we have had some sales, unlike other years, when almost no people came and many of those who came brought their lunch boxes,» said one of the vendors, who for years has sold hamburgers, seafood tacos and hot dogs.

Luck has not been so different for the boat tours, because in spite of having a good Holy Week until the cut-off on Wednesday, April 20, it was empty, say the personnel in charge of the boat tours.

«Now there are so many accidents, so much insecurity, and on Sundays the National Guard is here, and as a worker you do feel safer, but people are afraid and it is reflected in sales,» he concluded.

The van rolled a few meters.  

Editor: A pickup truck traveling on the Jocotepec bypass went off the asphalt, fell down a slope and overturned. The incident occurred during the afternoon of April 15. 

After the truck rolled a few meters down a slope near the flagpole, the driver of the gray truck was trapped inside the unit. The Civil Protection and Firefighters of Jocotepec helped the victim, who was not seriously injured.

Two months ago, when the section of the San Juan Cosalá bicycle lane was approximately 90 percent complete, neighbors in the area began to regularly use the spaces to set up businesses. 

Neighbors of these areas and residents who pass through the road have commented on the lack of accessibility and the improper use of the bicycle lane.

«The bicycle lane is for cycling and walking at any time, but no, you put yourself in danger when passing through that street, next to the road, because there is not enough room to pass. You must go into the road, and it is not fair.  That is the reason the other sidewalk was left free, there to sell.  The bicycle lane was created to avoid accidents, not to cause them,» commented an annoyed neighbor.

There are more than three businesses that make use of this public space, in the stretch between Cardenal Street and the crossroads, as an opportunity to  expand their space, while others use it as a parking lot.

«The truth is that I don’t have money to rent a place and the bicycle lane is very wide and nobody has told me anything,» commented a merchant interviewed.

Some vendors opted to move to the other side of the road, after being told that they could not continue to set up in that area or there could be a sanction from the authorities. 

«When they told us we could not be on the bike path it was difficult to change everything.  Some moved, others stayed. A new vendor took over a space that had been used regularly but was vacated. There are people who park their cars as if it were their own house,» concluded another of those consulted.

Redacción.- Al menos 45 hectáreas forestales fueron consumidas tras un incendio registrado del Área Natural Protegida del cerro El Comal, en la comunidad de Mezcala de la Asunción, municipio de Poncitlán, durante la mañana del 25 de abril.

Más de 10 horas de trabajo y 26 descargas de agua de la presa de San Juan Tecomatlán, acarreadas por el helicóptero “Witare” de La Secretaría de Desarrollo Territorial (SEMADET), fueron necesarias para controlar el incendio.

El incendio que inició a las 11:00 de la mañana del pasado lunes, tuvo la participación de la Asociación Intermunicipal para la Protección del Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable (AIPROMADES) del Lago de Chapala, además de 15 voluntarios de Mezcala, 10 d Casa Blanca y de las autoridades municipales.

Redacción.- La Secretaría de Salud Jalisco (SSJ) concluyó el Operativo “Ruta del Peregrino” con 777 consultas médicas otorgadas durante las dos semanas de mayor afluencia de personas al Santuario de Nuestra Señora del Rosario en Talpa de Allende. 

Según el reporte, la mayor demanda fue la atención por traumatismos con 189 casos, seguida de deshidratación con 72 peregrinos atendidos; asimismo, se registró el deceso de dos personas. 

Del 8 al 17 de abril la dependencia activó el Programa de Urgencias Epidemiológicas y Desastres en el cual participaron 31 Unidades de Salud en el trayecto de la ruta que atraviesa varios municipios, en las cuales se reforzó el suministro de medicamentos, material de curación y Vida Suero Oral.  A la par, se instalaron puestos de hidratación oral en las unidades activadas en la Región Sanitaria IX Ameca.

Como parte del operativo intersectorial, se desplegaron acciones en carreteras, centros turísticos e intervenciones preventivas para reducción de riesgos en romeros, en los que se contó con la participación del Consejo Estatal para la Prevención de Accidentes (CEPAJ) y el Sistema de Atención Médica de Urgencias (SAMU).

En este contexto de la peregrinación, se reportaron 14 casos de picadura de alacrán atendidos oportunamente; así como descompensaciones por hipertensión y diabetes. Se registraron dos defunciones por posible infarto. El primer fallecimiento fue de un hombre de 67 años, registrado el 10 de abril en el Cerro del Obispo, municipio de Ameca. El segundo fallecimiento fue de un hombre de 56 años el 9 de abril durante el trayecto de la carreta en Ameca – Mascota.

La Comisión para la Protección Contra Riesgos Sanitarios de Jalisco (Coprisjal) verificó tres plantas purificadoras de agua, un mercado público, 148 puestos de vendedores ambulantes y 15 restaurantes, además de un sistema de abastecimiento de agua. Realizó 75 determinaciones de cloro residual libre en 37 redes y 38 depósitos encontrados dentro de norma.

Para evitar brotes de dengue, el área de Vectores y Zoonosis realizó nebulizaciones espaciales en el centro de Talpa previo a la romería; mientras que la Región Sanitaria VIII de Puerto Vallarta visitó 1,579 casas con acciones de control larvario y realizó nebulización espacial a en 223 hectáreas, con una población protegida de 23,760 personas; así mismo se realizó rociado rápido con insecticida de acción residual en tres templos. 

Por su parte en municipios de la Región Sanitaria IX Ameca se reportaron acciones de control larvario en una localidad, así mismo se nebulizó 26 hectáreas en 6 localidades con 2,220 personas protegidas. Además de rociado rápido con insecticida de acción residual en 22 casas y 7 refugios temporales.

Jazmín Stengel(Chapala).- Following demonstrations by neighbors in San Nicolás de Ibarra, Chapala authorities promised to investigate the veracity of the Hydraulic Services Feasibility Report approved in 2019, so that the “San Nicolás” subdivision could be connected to the public drinking water network.

The contractor for  the developer Obras Civiles de Occidente arrived at the water intake last April 12, ready to connect the subdivision to the network of the only drinking water well that supplies the San Nicolás de Ibarra community. The subdivision plans 30  new homes, which provoked a demonstration by residents.

This action resulted in the removal of the hydraulic pipe that had previously been installed to connect to the public drinking water network without authorization from the Drinking Water and Sewerage System (SIMAPA), and also led to a subsequent dialogue between the community and the municipal government.

During the meeting on April 20, Comptroller Absalón García Ochoa, SIMAPA Director Fernando Antonio Monreal Mendoza, and chief of staff Joaquín Huerta Barrios were present. They arrived almost two hours late because they explained meeting was not scheduled in advance.

«Our priority is to supply the people» emphasized García Ochoa, who also explained that only SIMAPA personnel are authorized to intervene in publicly owned pipelines. 

A review of the Hydraulic Services Feasibility Opinion, approved by the last administration (2018 – 2021) was also promised and if it is not  correct, it will be revoked, SIMAPA said.

«In a hypothetical case, if we would have surplus (water) it is within our  authority to  allow  individuals to connect to a regulated public network with meters» , detailed Absalón. In other words, the municipality can, but is not obliged to, provide water services to private developments.

The  residents are adamant and prefer that the water be only for the town, because  the system were connected to the development; they would only have water for two hours a day,  they claimed.

At present, for those who live in the center of the town, water flows constantly from 7:00 in the morning to 10:00 at night. However, in the upper part of the northeastern part of the town water is only pumped for a couple of hours in the morning.

This is why the inhabitants demand  that the water reaches the middle and high schools as well as the neighbors located in the upper part of the town, and asked that these needs be solved before connecting water to the subdivisions.  That may be difficult because  the second well that was opened near the school during the 2015 – 2018 administration is dry and cannot be expanded and used,  according to the director of SIMAPA.

The only well that serves  water to San Nicolás de Ibarra lifts 22 liters per second and is about one hundred meters from the subdivision. Meanwhile, there is another well at the opposite end whose drinking water line is only five meters away and has water outlets of 4 to 8 inches, according to local residents.

The water well located at the end of Juarez Street in  San Nicolas de Ibarra was built approximately 40 years ago  by the people themselves and was administered by  the town residents  for more than 20 years, until SIMAPA Chapala took charge of it.

Redacción.- Se prevén lluvias, descargas eléctricas y  posibles granizadas, durante esta noche en el Área Metropolitana de Guadalajara. Además de vientos fuertes y posibles torbellinos, informó la Comisión Nacional del Agua ( CONAGUA) Jalisco. 

En Jalisco serán las Regiones Altos Norte, Altos Sur, Centro, Ciénega, Lagunas y Sierra de Amula, las que registren tormentas eléctricas. 

Protección Civil y Bomberos de Guadalajara informó que las nubes de tormenta crecen esta noche, principalmente al Norte y Oriente de Guadalajara. En los municipios ribereños, como Chapala y Jocotepec, se registran rachas fuertes de vientos. 

En Michoacán, las regiones donde se pronostica actividad eléctrica son: Cuitzeo, Bajío, Lerma-Chapala y Oriente, informó la CONAGUA.
