Se organizan mujeres para protegerse de la violencia

Jazmín Stengel.- La publicación en Facebook de un supuesto intento de secuestro a una estudiante de una academia de idiomas y el reporte de la desaparición de una adolescente en el municipio de Chapala, ha motivado a un grupo de mujeres de la localidad a solicitar a las autoridades una serie de peticiones que garanticen su seguridad, pese a que varias medidas ya están activas en el municipio.

Para lograrlo, se han organizado para recabar firmas y solicitar a la autoridad el señalamiento de espacios seguros en comercios, transporte público y privado, cursos gratuitos para la defensa personal y propaganda en la ribera para concientizar a la sociedad de la violencia a la que están expuestas durante su día a día.

Las mujeres también piden brindar asesoría y protección a víctimas, atención gratuita y psicológica, una línea directa para emergencias y la activación de la patrulla morada; sin embargo, estas medidas están activas en el municipio de Chapala desde iniciada esta administración.

Por ejemplo, existe una patrulla violeta con seis elementos femeninos capacitados que responden a números de emergencia de seguridad pública las 24 horas. El Instituto de la Mujer, ubicado en la calle Niños Héroes # 69 de la cabecera municipal, brinda asesorías y seguimientos a víctimas de manera gratuita.

Acerca de los casos reportados, Peöple Bilingual Training, escuela privada de idiomas, reportó el 22 de abril a través de su página social de Facebook, que una de sus estudiantes fue jaloneada por hombres que repartían volantes en la central de autobuses de Chapala, con la intención de subirla a un coche estacionado, frente a la misma. La mujer fue auxiliada por una señora que vendía verduras y logró escapar.

En colectivos feministas de la región y la red social de Facebook, también se han difundido presuntos intentos de secuestro, de acuerdo con las publicaciones y víctimas consultadas, las jóvenes han sido perseguidas o acechadas por hombres en automóviles.

A pesar de no existir reportes en Seguridad Pública del municipio ni denuncias formales en el Ministerio Público sobre intentos de secuestro o persecuciones a mujeres, el comisario de Chapala, Sergio Conzuelo Ramírez, ya ordenó intensificar las estrategias de seguridad, incrementar los recorridos de inspección ciudadana para trabajar en la prevención del delito contra la mujer.

Por su parte, el coordinador Estratégico de Seguridad Pública en el estado, Ricardo Sánchez Beruben, dijo no tener conocimiento de ningún presunto intento de privación ilegal de la libertad en mujeres, debido a que ninguna de las supuestas víctimas ha presentado su denuncia de manera formal.

Para finalizar, el entrevistado aseguró que los audios que circularon hace días alertando levantamientos de mujeres por parte de grupos delictivos, existen desde el 2019 y han circulado en diferentes estados de México, como anunció la Fiscalía del Estado, el 22 de abril.

Invitan a denunciar a infractores

Sofía Medeles (Ajijic, Jal.)- Las denuncias a infractores de Ajijic serán recibidas, manteniendo el anonimato del quejoso, a través del número de WhatsApp: 33 3290 0382, el cual es manejado por el Encargado de Despacho Maximiliano “Max” Macías Arceo. 

Macías Arceo, también invitó a realizar los reportes por medio de la cuenta de Facebook  Delegación Ajijic 2021-2024, mediante un mensaje privado. Es decir, se podrá denunciar (bajo condición de anonimato) a personas que saquen la basura en horarios no correspondientes, que obstruyan banquetas y vialidades, entre otras situaciones que afecten la convivencia comunitaria. 

 

Anonymous complaints system to be implemented for residents of Ajijic

Sofía Medeles (Ajijic, Jal.) –  A new WhatsApp number and Facebook page will be set up for Ajijic to streamline the process of complaints from the residents of the town; in addition, complaints can be made anonymously. With this system, the aim is to reach quick and individual resolutions with the complainants and the respondents.

The person in charge of Ajijic’s office, Maximiliano «Max» Macías Arceo, commented that since he took office he has received many complaints regarding different matters; for example, the obstruction of walkways with building materials or rubble, people who throw away their trash after the truck has already passed, or owners who walk their pets and leave their  poop in the garbage.

«We have set up a WhatsApp number and soon a Facebook page to deal with these complaints anonymously. We don’t want to embarrass anyone, it’ s just a way for the community to educate themselves little by little and become aware of the care and image of the streets,» Max said.

He commented that the process to be followed is that after receiving the complaint, it will not be released, but the accused will be visited personally, in order to talk to them and reach a solution to the problem. «For example, on the walkways, not to obstruct and to seek a permit to put some debris temporarily in a space on the street».

Semanario Laguna asked a small group of people randomly for their opinion on this, to which, in their entirety, they agreed with this action, as it seems to them a gentle way of sanctioning the offenders.

«It’s a good way of giving people a little fright, this way they will avoid doing things they know they shouldn’t, what you see most is that they take out the rubbish all week or after the lorry has passed, and then it falls and makes a mess, or the dogs destroy it, etcetera. Not only because of the trash, but because of the other things that were mentioned, it is a sign that the town leaders  are getting closer to the people and listening to them,» said Antonio, a native of Ajijic interviewed by Laguna..

Those interviewed also agreed that this new way of working will avoid conflicts between neighbours and will lead them to take responsibility. «There are neighbours who are very difficult and you can’t say anything to them, because they get angry and want to fight, but if the authorities visit them to make them see their wrongdoing, they are more likely to get on the same page,» said Ángela, also an inhabitant of the town.

Finally, Max said that while they are working on the details of setting up the system, they will continue to receive complaints by telephone at 376 766 1760. He also asked the population to help, like sweeping the front of their homes, and he invited everyone to do their bit.
